Mary Ann Woodruff, 81 of St. Charles passed away Friday, April 24, 2020, at Madisonville Health and Rehab. Born April 1, 1939, to the late Elbert and Lilly (Mohawn) Brunson. She was of Baptist faith and enjoyed going to church when she was able and she was a big Elvis fan. Mary was a loving mother to more than her children, she also cared for extended family like they were her own. She risked her life to save her niece, Mindy, and is forever her hero now. There were 4 sets of 5 generations in her family and she was proud of the big family she had raised.
Preceded in death by her husband, Luther Woodruff; son, William Woodruff; grandson, Tony Earl; and sister, Patsy Martin.
Survived by daughters, Arwana (James) Wallace, Patricia Faye Smith and Rose (Tom)Joel; sons, Billy Lowe, Elbert (Shellie) Woodruff, Robert (Edith) Woodruff, Johnny Woodruff, Richard (RobinGail) Woodruff, J.W. (Peachy) Woodruff and Bill Monroe (Robinette) Woodruff; sister, Sue (Joe) Scott; brothers, Franklin (Patricia) Brunson, Stephen (Kaye) Brunson, William Brunson and Roger (Tara) Brunson.
Service: private family service with burial to follow at Lake Grove Cemetery in St. Charles.
