Michael McBride Obituary

Michael Ryan McBride, 45 of Nortonville passed away Friday, May 14, 2021, at University of Louisville Hospital. Born August 29, 1975, to Donald McBride and the late Sheila Downy McBride. He attended Word of Faith Christian Center in Madisonville and he loved speaking to others and inviting them to know the Lord. He formerly worked as a coal miner, for Ingram Barge Co. and as a boilermaker for Budweiser and he was proud of each of those jobs. Michael battled brain cancer for over 13 years, in 2013 he rode his bicycle from Nortonville, KY, to Panama City Beach, FL, to raise awareness and fight for a cure in the Michael McBride Ride for a Cure.

In addition to his mother he is preceded in death by an infant brother, Stephen Paul McBride.

Survived by his wife of 10 years, Melissa Page McBride; daughters, Michaela McBride and Ashton McBride; father, Donald McBride; sister, Sarah (Chris) Martin; and nephew, Gage Martin.

Service will be private for family.
