Pamela Mae (Alexander) Young

Pamela "Nanny" Mae Young, 65 of Nortonville passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at Owensboro Muhlenberg Community Hospital.  Born January 4, 1960, to the late Johnnie and Carolyn (Dunn) Alexander.  She was a member of New Salem Baptist Church and she previously worked as unit secretary of ICU at RMC Hospital.  She loved spending time with grandchildren and teaching them skills like sewing and gardening.  Watching them grow into their own personalities brought her great joy.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her sister, Melissa McKinney.

Survived by his husband of 48 years, Rodger Young; 2 daughters, Amanda Young Barnes of Charleston and Michelle Young Jones of Nortonville; 4 grandchildren, Destiny Young, Veronica Jones, Collin Jones, Johnathan Alexander; 5 great-grandchildren, Avianna, Kayson, Callie, Ashlynn and Maelynn; and she is expecting 3 more great-grandchildren coming soon.

Visitation will be held Sunday from 2:00pm - 4:00pm at New Salem Baptist Church in Nortonville.
