Parthena Barnes Terry, 72 of Mortons Gap passed away in Meeker, Colorado, on June 6, 2021. Born January 18, 1949, to the late Leonard and Lucy (Putman) Barnes. She attended Second Baptist Church of Mortons Gap and was avid at spending time studying the Bible. She worked for the Trover Foundation in the coordinating & billing department for several years before moving to Florida where she was an office manager for a home health care office. Parthena was a hard worker in everything she did from her yard, to her home, or at work. She loved Florida and everything about it, the beach, the palm trees, the flowers, the people. She had a wonderful sense of humor and infectious laugh throughout her life. Everyone that knew her knew that she was the definition of a penny pincher, never going without but never wasting either.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her sister, Wynetona Welte; and nephews, Coy Solise, Troy Solise, Chad Solise and Dustin Barnes.
Survived by her sons, Brandon (Kirsten) Terry and Parrish (Angela) Terry; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Ohoma, Omer, W.W., Lowman, and Paul.
Service will be held Saturday at 12 Noon at Bandy Funeral Home in Nortonville with Bro. Donnie Howton officiating. Burial to follow at New Salem Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00A.M. at the funeral home.
