Paul Wayne Allen

Paul Wayne Allen, 71 of White Plains passed away Friday, August 26, 2022, at his home.  Born February 23, 1951, to the late Hylen and Avanell (Bruce) Allen.  He was a member of White Plains Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for over 20 years.  He was a retired coal miner, he worked many years for Hopkins County Coal along with other coal companies in his career.  Paul loved baseball, basketball and softball, whether he was playing, watching or coaching.  In his free time he enjoyed hunting and fishing.  Above all he loved and enjoyed his family and being with them.  

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sister, Judith Allen; and brothers, Anthony Allen and infant brother, John Fitzgerald Allen.

Survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Pam (Oglesby) Allen; daughters, Tiffany (Johnathon) Baize and Tara (Marty) Parker, all of White Plains; 2 grandchildren, Kayley Baize and Kolby Baize; 2 brothers, Dwight "Tater" (Wanda) Allen of Nortonville and Avery (Rosa) Allen of White Plains; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be held Saturday, September 3, 2022, at 1:00pm at White Plains Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. J.D. Holt, Bro. Benjamin Prevette and Bro. James Watkins officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00am at the church.  Burial will be private for family at a later date at Concord Cemetery.
