Robert Elmo Adams

Robert Elmo Adams, 78 of Nortonville passed away Friday, December 16, 2022, at Baptist Health Deaconess.  Born November 20, 1944, to the late Elmo and Dorothy (Phillips) Adams of St. Charles.  He attended First Pentecostal Church in Madisonville and worked as a mechanic for Peabody Coal until his retirement.  He enjoyed being outside hunting and fishing or out riding his 4-wheeler.  

Preceded in death by his son, Kirk Robert Adams; and brothers, Ray Adams and Roger Dale Adams.

Survived by his wife of 49 years, Edna (Minton) Adams; children, Mark (Shannon) Stone of Nortonville, Lisa (Jeff) Browning of Nortonville and Ricky Adams of Nortonville; 4 grandchildren, Michael Browning, Shannon Browning, Courtney Adams and Lydia Stone; 9 great-grandchildren; siblings, Michael (Kathy) Adams of Nortonville, Louis (Lisa) Adams of White Plains and Dawn (Hugh) Hopson of South Carolina; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.  

Service will be held Wednesday at 1:00pm at Bandy Funeral Home in Nortonville with Rev. Paul Minton and Pastor Tim McNiely officiating.  Burial to follow at Good Hope Cemetery in Nortonville.  Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5:00pm - 7:00pm and Wednesday beginning at 11:00am at the funeral home.
