Robert Earl Dugger, 85 of Madisonville passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2020, at St. Anthony's Hospice in Henderson. Born July 20, 1934, to the late James and Ruth (Adcock) Dugger. He was a graduate of Mortons Gap High School before joining the Army. He played baseball for the Army where he served in Yokota and made life long friends. He worked for Hilfiker Concrete in Eureka, CA, and developed a love for the concrete business. Robert then moved back to Mortons Gap and started D & W Concrete making concrete products while working for Peabody Coal. He also became a master plumber and opened Dugger Enterprises and became a Kentucky Colonel. Next came Dugger Hardware and the Hangout Game room. During that time he developed a love for pools and opened Parkway Pools, Muhlenberg County Pools and finally The Pool Store. Robert was a member of Second Baptist Church in Mortons Gap before transferring membership to Nortonville Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by his son, Dee Dugger; sister, Clara Nell Cooper; and brother, James A. Dugger.
Survived by his wife, Wilma Dugger; daughter, Cylinda (Durwood) Cavanaugh of Nortonville; sons, Bryan (Tracy) Dugger of Mortons Gap and Jeff Dugger of Franklin, TN; step-children, Brooke (Ryan) White of Sturgis and Craig (Patricia) Offutt of Pompano Beach, FL; grandchildren, Jeremy, Shane and Chris Cavanaugh, Tommy Laffoon, Lucian, Case and Drew Dugger, Stormy Marks, Canaan Dugger, Cody, Zack, Kelsey Dugger, Kaylee Joiner, Mallory and Maggie White; and sisters, Georgie Hayes of Earlington and Mary Frances Thomas of Mortons Gap.
Family will have a private service with burial to follow at Salem Cemetery in Mortons Gap.
