Rochell Ann (Burdick) Whitfield

Rochelle Ann Whitfield, 84 of Sacramento passed away Friday, April 21, 2023, at Baptist Health Deaconess.  Born January 14, 1939, to the late Kenneth and Violet (Deabel) Burdick of Illinois.  She was a member of White Plains Methodist Church and she enjoyed being a member of TOPS in Madisonville for many years.  She has worked as a school lunchlady, for White Hen Pantry and for J.C. Penney while making friends and enjoying life along the way.  She and her late husband, Harry, were the owners and operators of Whitfield Auto Sales in Madisonville.  Rochelle always had a smile for everyone, she enjoyed playing golf, and she loved time spent with her family and friends.

Preceded in death by her husband, Harry Whitfield; parents; and siblings, Roger Burdick, Kenneth Burdick, Jr., Alvin Burdick, Melvin Burdick, Ronald Burdick, Sharon Deyoung and Shelby Hanson.

Survived by her sons, Theodore (Paula) Perez of Manteno, IL, Donald Perez of Cedar Lake, IN, David Perez of Plainfield, IL, Dennis (Nancy) Whitfield of Colorado, and Trent Whitfield of South Carolina; sister, Judy Mead of IL; several grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Service will be held at 6:00pm Thursday at Bandy Funeral Home in Nortonville, KY.  Visitation will begin at the funeral home at 4:00pm on Thursday.  Burial will be on Saturday, May 13, at 1:00pm at Momence Cemetery in Momence, IL.
