Roger Dale Martin

Roger Dale Martin, 74 of White Plains passed away June 22, 2023 at his home.  Born April 16, 1949, to the late George and Betty (Brothers) Martin, Jr. of White Plains.  He was a member of Concord Missionary Baptist Church and worked throughout his life as a coal miner.  He was very close with his family that he loved dearly.

Preceded in death by his parents and infant sister, Carol Jean Martin.

Survived by his beloved wife of over 53 years, Jane Martin; son, Timmy (Lisa) Martin of White Plains; daughter, Karen (Tony) Hight of White Plains; 8 grandchildren, Victoria Hight, Donovan Hight, Gabe Martin, Corey Wiggins, Jacob Osborne, Colleen Osborne, Julie Osborne and Alaine Osborne; brothers, Larry (Theresa) Martin and Mike Martin, both of White Plains; sisters, Patricia (Ricky) Taylor of Slaughters, Lola (Jerry) Hicks of Nortonville, and Susie Martin of White Plains; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Sunday at 2pm at Bandy Funeral Home in Nortonville with Bro. Tony Lipford officiating.  Burial to follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in White Plains.  Visitation is Saturday 5-7pm and Sunday noon till service time at the funeral home.
