Rosetta Faye Embry, 86 of Madisonville passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at her home with her family at her side. Born August 6, 1939, to the late George Lester Brown and the late Nora May Lawson of Liberty, KY. She was a member of The River in Nortonville; she worked as an insurance adjuster throughout her working years; and she was a former City Council member in Hopkinsville. Rosetta loved to travel and was always up for an adventure with her grandchildren. She enjoyed being outside gardening and tending to her flowers. Rosetta had a love for the Lord that she shared with others by showing people an unconditional love for everyone.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, William E. Embry, Jr.; and her brother, Glenn Ray Brown.
Survived by her son, Gregg (Carolyn) Brown of New Albany, IN; daughters, Denise (Brian) Mayes of Madisonville and Jeanne (Rick) Boling of Hopkinsville; grandsons, Brandon West, Zackrey (Tosha) Smith and David Boling; granddaughters, Heather (Brian) Meagher, Jennifer Brown, Erica (Phillip) Gamblin, Crystal (Joe) Sasse, Amy (Tracy) Bell, Stephanie Boling and Sarah (Ethan) Ruark; 17 great-grandchildren, Ty, Macy, Nora, Parker, Piper, Mason, Samuel, Thatcher, Archer, Trinity, Emmy, Bryson, Harper, Payslee, Easton, Embry and Elee; 3 great-great-grandchildren, Everleigh, Noelani, Hendrix and one on the way; brothers, Nelson Brown of GA and James (Linda) Brown of IN; and several nieces and nephews.
Service will be held Sunday at 4:00pm CST at Bandy Funeral Home in Nortonville, KY, with Pastor Howard Jones officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00pm - 4:00pmCST at the funeral home.
Burial will be private for family at a later date at Riverside Cemetery in Hopkinsville.
