Obituary
Roy Glenn Basham, 76 of Nortonville passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at his home. Born June 13, 1946, to the late Wiley and Ruby (Henderson) Basham of Rumsey. He was a self employed diesel mechanic. He was always working on or tinkering on something in his shop, with plenty of friends and clients always in need of his help. He enjoyed watching car races and restoring Studebakers.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers, Randall and Harold Basham.
Survived by his wife of 40 years, Martha Whitfield Basham; daughter, Deborah (Roger) Tapp of Calhoun; stepchildren, Christina Terry and Scott Goodaker; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and brothers, Jimmy Basham and Billy (Linda) Basham all of Madisonville.
Service will be held at 2:00pm Sunday at Bandy Funeral Home in Nortonville with Bro. Johnny Hoard officiating. Visitation will begin at noon until service time.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Baptist Health Deaconess Hospice, 200 Clinic Dr., Madisonville, KY 42431
