Ruby May Asa, 80 of Madisonville passed away Monday, April 14, 2025, at Baptist Health Deaconess. Born April 7, 1945, to the late William and Naomi (Bewley) Crumpton, Sr., of Indianapolis, IN. She has a rich history with the church and her relationship with God beginning with her attending church and school at Calvary Tabernacle in Indianapolis. She was also involved with Lawrence Apostolic in the Indianapolis area before moving to the Madisonville area and becoming involved with Greater Lighthouse United Pentecostal Church. Ruby also attended a Bible college after high school. She worked as a medical assistant and a certified nurse aid throughout her life; and was a retail manager for BP Convenience stores. Ruby had a talent for playing piano and organ which she did for her church but also enjoyed going to nursing homes to play and sing for them. She could also be found at home with her dog crocheting and relaxing while she caught up with her family by phone.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Starla Wilde; husbands, Hubert Everidge, Sr. and Charles Asa; brother, William Crumpton, Jr.; and son-in-law, Kevin Tyrone Waire.
Survived by her son, Hubert Everidge, Jr. of Pennsylvania; daughter, Frances Waire of Indianapolis; 5 grandchildren, Crista Wilde, Cody Wilde, Terry "TJ" Wilde, Kevin Everidge and Michael Everidge; and great-grandchild, Marianna Jo'Lynn Everidge.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, May 4, at Greater Lighthouse Church in Madisonville, KY, with Bro. Knox and Bro. Hendricks officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00pm at the church.
