Sandra Kay (Franklin) Alshire

Sandra Kay Alshire, 73 of Nebo passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Baptist Health Deaconess.  Born October 13, 1952, to the late Clarence and Ella (Wells) Franklin of St. Charles.  She was a member of Abundant Grace Fellowship in Madisonville.  Sandra was a Registered Nurse and had worked at Madisonville Hospital, Regional Medical Center and as a travel nurse.  Prior to nursing she had been a bookkeeper for the Mortons Gap Truck Stop.  Sandra had a smile for everyone, and she enjoyed a good laugh.  She loved her family, and she did her best to make sure they were taken care of.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Harold "Butch" Alshire; son, Chad Alshire; and brothers, Clarence "Butch" Franklin and Ricky Franklin.

Survived by her son, Robert Alshire; 9 grandchildren, Zachary (Jessica) Alshire, Hannah (Justin) Miller, Kenzi Alshire, Alexa (Levi) Murphy, Ouentin Campbell, Chaderick Alshire, Dillion (Cheyenne Fowler) Alshire, Devon (Kaitlyn) Alshire, and Mareyah Alshire; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Cynthia Walker; and sisters-in-law, Faye Brandon, Karen Kenyon, Wanda Ensor and Cheri Sims.

Service will be held Saturday at 1:00pm at Abundant Grace Fellowship in Madisonville with Bro. Danny Wix officiating.  Burial to follow at New Salem Cemetery in Nortonville.  Visitation will begin at 11:00am at the church.  Pallbearers will be Zachary, Dillion, Chaderick and Devon Alshire, Austin Franklin and Jacob Marks.
