Shirley Jean (Groves) Stanley

Shirley Jean Stanley, 74 of Nortonville passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at her home.  Born December 25, 1944, to the late Elsie and Addie (Riley) Groves.  She was a member of Orange Grove General Baptist Church where she also taught Sunday school for many years.  She was a dedicated and loving wife, mother and grandmother along with many other titles.  She enjoyed going fishing and loved time spent with family.

Preceded in death by her parents; brother, Atley Groves; and sisters, Bonnie Carlton and Yvonda Haggman.

Survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, David Stanley; son, Michael Stanley of Nortonville; daughters, Donna (Brian) Harper of Pendleton, and Debbie (Billy) Clark of Nortonville; granddaughter, Katie Decker; brothers, Raymond (Shirley) Groves of White Plains, and Danny Groves of Hanson; sisters, Joyce (Glenn) Stanley of Nortonville, and Doris (Harold) Crick of Pendleton.

Graveside service will be held at Stanley Cemetery at 11:00 A.M. with Bro. Sweeney officiating and burial to follow.
