Sonia Jean Adams, 81 of Madisonville passed away Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Baptist Health Deaconess. Born July 17, 1943, to the late Gaylon and Irma (Dunlap) Duncan of White Plains. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Madisonville. She worked for over 20 years for Kentucky Farm Bureau Claims office in Hopkinsville prior to retiring. Sonia was an excellent cook and she enjoyed cooking for friends and family. If the UK Wildcats had a basketball game, she could easily be found in front of her television cheering them on. Sonia lived for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, they were her pride and joy.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Kara Smith; husbands, Harold Williams and Michael Smith; and sisters, Verda Ruth Harper, Betty Smith and Gaynell Crunk.
Survived by her children, Clarissa (Steven) Barks of Hanson, Harold (Tonya) Williams of FL and Greg (Kim) Smith of Hopkinsville; several beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Carolyn Crunk of Evansville; and brother, Doug Duncan of White Plains.
Service will be held Tuesday at 11:00am at Bandy Funeral Home in Nortonville with Pastor David Eddmenson officiating. Burial to follow at Concord Cemetery in White Plains.
