Steve Douglas Stanley

Steve Douglas Stanley, 66 of White Plains passed away August 25, 2025, at his home.  Born to the late Charles and Betty (Pendley) Stanley.  Steve worked as a heavy equipment operator for Wayne's Backhoe Service for over 30 years.  He loved being outdoors and feeding the wildlife around his home.  He fed them well enough that he often had a mixture of deer and turkeys in his yard, and he named the regular visitors.  Steve had a tendency to stay to himself; however, he had a strong love for his family.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Alan Stanley.

Survived by 2 sons, Jason (Dina) Stanley of Hammond, IN and Jeremy (Ann) Stanley of White Plains; 7 grandchildren, Dillon Buchannan, Brianna Buchannan, Katelynn (Matthew) Stanley, Shane (Angelina) Stanley, Mariah (Justin) Massey, Jordan Stanley and Cameron Stanley; 9 great-grandchildren, Liam, Michael, Jocelyn, Alex, Matthew, Aleah, Isabella, Dallas, Levi and Josie; and sister, Jeannine Hunter.

Graveside service will be held Saturday at noon at Stanley Cemetery in White Plains.
