Sue Nell (Orten) Parker

Sue Nell Parker, 71 of Nortonville passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at Baptist Health Deaconess.  Born May 21, 1952, she was raised by her late mother, Martha (Lee) Petitt, and by her late grandparents, James and Kathryn Lee of Mortons Gap.  She was a member of New Salem Baptist Church in Nortonville.  She worked as a beautician for Regis Salon for many years.  Sue enjoyed reading novels and books about religion.  She loved her family and enjoyed time spent with them.  

In addition to her parents and grandparents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Parker; and sister, Brenda Orten.

Survived by her children, Tammie Parker of Mortons Gap, Cathryn (Eric) Johnson of Nortonville, Bryan (Kristen) Parker of Madisonville; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Dwight (Suzette) Orten; and sisters, Judy (Jeff) Cralle and Karen (Wayne) Jones; and stepsister, Pearl (Tim) Vickery.

Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm Friday at Bandy Funeral Home in Nortonville with Bro. Alan Menser officiating.  Visitation will begin at noon at the funeral home until service time.  Burial will take place at Union Temple Church Cemetery in St. Charles at a later date.
