Tony Wendell Camplin, 74 of Mortons Gap went to home to be with Jesus on Monday, January 26, 2026, at his home. Born April 12, 1951, to the late Maxie "Bud" and Mary (Brummett) Camplin. He was a member of Unity in Christ Church in Madisonville. Tony was a fan of UK Wildcat Basketball for many years and was a definite member of the BBN. The important things in his life was his love for the Lord and his love for his family.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by grandchild, Dakota Camplin; and siblings, Nora Dell Sappington, Carlos Rex Camplin, Sr., Katherine Key and Priscilla Nichols.
Survived by his wife of 33 years, Rosa (Foe) Camplin; 13 children, Michael (Mindy) Camplin, April (Russ) Brazier, Jason (Julie) Camplin, Curtis (Jennifer) Camplin, Tricia (Don) Barnett, Savanah (Dakota) Baldwin, Brandon Looney, Amber (Beau) Copple, Christopher (Laci) Looney, Jennifer Weatherwax, Candice (Philip) Rhye, Rebecca (Isaac) Woodruff and Dasha Bean; 44 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Baxter Camplin and Emmett (Linda) Camplin; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Service will be held Saturday at 2:00pm at Unity in Christ Church in Madisonville with Bro. Richardson officiating. Visitation will begin at noon until service hour at the church.
Due to current weather conditions, burial at Cranor Cemetery in St. Charles will be delayed at this time.
