Wayne Johnson

Carlos Wayne Johnson, 75 of Nortonville passed away Monday, January 31, 2022, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.  Born October 8, 1946, to the late Bedford and Dessie (Carroll) Johnson of St. Charles.  He provided for his family working as a truck driver for many years.  He enjoyed doing woodwork in his workshop and he loved spending time with his cherished grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by 8 brothers and 2 sisters.

Survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Aquilla (Payne) Johnson; 3 daughters, Kathy (Billy) Miller of Crofton, Christy (Gary) Brown of Crofton and Tammy (Virgil) Marcum of Dawson Springs; 7 grandchildren, Christopher Miller, Johathon Miller, Michael Miller, Ashley Gilford, Trisha Smith, Amanda Davis and Kimberly Marcum; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Service will be held Sunday at 2:00pm at Bandy Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Brown and Bro. Brad Payne officiating.  Burial to follow at Shaw Cemetery.  Visitation will begin at noon at the funeral home.
