Wesley "Timer" Vandiver, 89 of Madisonville passed away Thursday, January 2, 2020, at Ridgewood Terrace Health. Born June 8, 1930, to the late Donald and Fannie (Clark) Vandiver of Nortonville. He was an Army veteran and a retired coal miner and he was a member of Gracey First Baptist Church. He was proud of his family and loved keeping up with everyone.
Preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters, Jessey Vandiver, Louise Miller, Lesley "Cricket" Vandiver, Erma Patton and Charles Vandiver.
Survived by his wife of 70 years, Marie Whitfield Vandiver; sons, Bobby (Laurie) Vandiver of Madisonville and Jonathan Vandiver of Louisville; 3 grandchildren, Shane (Lisa) Vandiver of Bowling Green, Cameron (Shannon) Vandiver of Huntsville, AL, and Misti (Brett) Myers of Germany; 9 great-grandchildren; 30 extended grandchildren; 2 sisters, June Cartwright of Madisonville and Shirley Ramsey of Nortonville.
Service will be held on Sunday at Bandy Funeral Home at 2:00 P.M. with Bro. John Shoulta officiating. Burial to follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will begin at noon at the funeral home until service time.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Pleasant Hill Cemetery Fund, 150 Red Hill Rd, Nortonville, KY 42442.
