Wilma Lois Farmer, 85 of White Plains passed away Sunday, August 11, 2024, at Greenville Nursing and Rehab. Born June 27, 1939, to the late Lawrence and Lula (Dillingham) Crunk of White Plains. She was a class of 57’ South Hopkins High School graduate. Wilma stayed active in her homemakers group and Woodmen of the World and she had an active Bunk-o group. She was part of a successful bowling league for many years throughout her life also. Wilma was an avid University of Kentucky fan that has always bled blue. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Greenville Nursing Home for the care Wilma received.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus “Buddy” Farmer; grandson, Kevin Farmer; and her siblings, Albert Crunk, Eugene Crunk, Bill Crunk, Dana Smith, Thelma Whitescarver, Lillie Crunk and Dorothy Ellis.
Survived by her children, Jefferey Farmer of White Plains, Christopher (Crystal) Farmer of Madisonville, Timothy Farmer of Madisonville and Linda (Valerie) Evans of Nevada; grandchildren, Brandon (Caitlin) Farmer, Caitlin (Blaine Von Berge) Farmer, Collin (Rachel) Farmer, Rebecca Farmer and Jessica (Kasey) Alexander; and great-grandchildren, Paisley Alexander and Bryson Farmer.
Service will be held Thursday at 1:00pm at Bandy Funeral Home in Nortonville with Bro. Darrell Menser officiating. Burial to follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in White Plains. Visitation will begin at 11:00am at the funeral home.
