Dallas Glen Tyson

Dallas Glen Tyson, 72 of Nortonville passed away Monday, January 16, 2017, at Baptist Health Hospital.  Born June 29, 1944, to the late Roy and Hallie (Mercer) Tyson.  Glen was an active member of New Salem Baptist Church and a mason with the Orphans Friend Lodge 523.  He also served on the Nortonville City Park board and was a previous city council member.  Glen was also known for hosting benefit 4-wheeler rides on his property.

Preceded in death by his parents; and his beloved wife, Sherry (Walker) Tyson.

Survived by his daughter, Felecia Faith of Nortonville; grandson, John Roy Faith of Nortonville; two brothers, Joe Tyson and Warren Checo (Annie) Tyson all of Nortonville; three sisters, Patty Wilson of Nortonville, Joyce Browning of Madisonville and Phyllis Sowell of Nortonville; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at New Salem Baptist Church in Nortonville on Friday at 11:00AM with Dr. DeWayne Sowell and Bro. Steve Rutherford officiating.  Burial to follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Nortonville.  Visitation will be held at Bandy Funeral Home on Thursday from 5:00PM - 8:00PM and Friday after 9:00AM at the church.
