Myra Nell (Gilliland) Cansler

Myra Nell Gilliland Cansler, 85 of Nortonville passed away Monday June 26,2017 at Baptist Health Hospital in Madisonville.  She was born November 13, 1931 in Christian Co., Kentucky to the late John W. and Myra Littlefield Gilliland.  Nell graduated from Sinking Fork School in Christian Co. in 1950.  She was a faithful member of New Salem Baptist Church in Nortonville.
She is also preceded in death by her husband, Truman Cansler in 1999; and two brothers, Keith Gilliland in 2000 and Garnett Wayne Gilliland in 1998.
She is survived by her loving children, Stephen (Rosemary) Cansler of Graham, Nancy (Roger) Grace and Cathy (Wayne) Pierce both of White Plains; grandchildren, Curtis (Melissa) Grace and Brent (Rachel) Grace both of White Plains, Amelia (Wade) Bruce of Graham, Jessica (Steve) James of Greenville, John (Danielle) Pierce of Dixon, and Kyle Pierce of White Plains; twelve great grandchildren, Ethan, Parker and Corey Grace, Brady and Isaac Whitaker, Hudson, Oliver and Greyson Bruce, Owen James, Laken Pierce, Paige and Gage Denton and one step great grand daughter, Madison James; one sister, Garnettia Wiggins of Jackson, Michigan; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Thursday at 2 pm at Bandy Funeral Home, Nortonville with Bro. Steve Rutherford officiating.  Burial will be immediately following in Dunning Cemetery, Crofton.  Visitation will be Thursday from 10 am till service time at the funeral home.  Pallbearers will be Gary Alexander, Jeremy Alexander, Terry Cansler, Darrell and Randy Gilliland, and Richard Stallins.  Honorary pall bearer, Larry Alexander.
