Robbie Jo (Welch) Moore

Robbie Jo Moore, 88 of Mortons Gap passed away Saturday, September 24, 2016, at NHC in Madisonville.  Born April 19, 1928, to the late Bertie and Goldie Hibbs Welch.  Robbie was a prominent member of Salem Missionary Baptist Church since 1947.  She enjoyed gardening and being outdoors, and she loved traveling with family and friends. 

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by granddaughter, Amanda Jo Moore.

Survived by her loving husband of 69 years, C.J. Moore; two sons, Steve (Kathy) Moore of Nashville, TN, and Tim (Twila) Moore of Nortonville; grandson, Tyler Moore; granddaughter, McKenzie (Cody) Hartley; step-grandson, Jacob Beeny; and two great-grandchildren, Kaylynn and Dylan. 

The family and Robbie appreciated her caregivers, Felicia Wright, Karen Brooks, Liz Stambush, Doris Clark, Abby Brewer, Shevon Wilkes, and Jennifer Dugger.

Service will be at Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Mortons Gap on Wednesday at 1:00pm with Bro. Jerry Brewer officiating.  Burial to follow in Salem Cemetery.  Visitation will be after 11am at the church.  Pallbearers are Joey Harralson, Truman Suthard, Jack Faulk, Tyler Moore, Jacob and Dylan Beeny.  In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to The Mandy Moore Foundation at St. Thomas Hospital, 678 Brook Hollow Rd., Nashville, TN 37205, online at https://stthomas.ejoinme.org/STHMidtown or to Salem Church Cemetery Fund, 200 Harold Jo Lane, Mortons Gap, KY  42440.
